Q:  "It sounds too good to be true, how do you make any money when every other company charges so much more?"

A:  We are simply not greedy.  Fill up your emergency petrol can with black ink from conventional cartridges and you will spend around £5000.  To us this level of profit is obscene. It is possible for us to generate profit healthy enough to guarantee you that we will be here for a long time to come, without ripping you off.  We do this by producing custom made inks of the highest quality in large batches in order to pass the cost savings on to our customers.
 

 
Q:  "Won't modifying a printer invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty"

A:  You have the legal right to use any type of consumable in your printer other than that made by the printers' manufacturer.  The onus is on them to prove that the use of said alternative ink actually caused or contributed to the failure.  Since our inks are manufactured to the same high standards as those of the manufacturer we know from years of experience that they do not cause damage to our printers or we would not be in business any more.  Even if you had been running your printer on dishwater and a plastic gear wheel broke for example, the manufacturer would still be duty bound to repair it under warranty.  No physical modification is done to the casings of Continuink  printers so that cannot invalidate any warranty.  All that said we tend to handle the few warranty repair issues that occur among these highly reliable products anyway, just to allay any fears our valued customers may have.

Q:  Printers are cheap, why should I buy a Continuink  printer at a higher price than I would have expected?”
A:  The vast majority of printers are very cheap to buy, that is exactly why you should spend a bit more on a Continuink  printer.  Printers are sold at very low prices because manufacturers have noticed that people do not like spending a lot on a boring plastic box that does not play video games or music.  They have also noticed that people don’t seem to realise how much they are spending on cartridges as months go by.  Cartridges can cost more than the printer did in the first place and they do not print much before they need replacing.  Continuink  printers produce many thousands of pages on one fill-up, not just 100-300 pages like other printers so instead of paying up to 10 pence per page you actually pay less than a penny.

We've used the Continuink AIO (printer, copier, scanner) for around 9 months now and put simply it is absolutely superb, the best office purchase decision we've ever made.
Before buying it we were very sceptical, after all the basic printer from Continuink is twice the price of the same thing from PCWorld ... but .... that's without the ink modification. The cost difference is saved very quickly indeed. Compared to typical cartridge printers ( we know because we also run a traditional printer on our invoicing computer ) the saving is several pence per sheet - We saved back the purchase price difference within a couple of thousand sheets.
When we were sold the printer, I recall being told the average price per A4 colour sheet would be 2p - 3p - in fact we are running at around 1p per page IN COLOUR, ok, I use the ink saver function because most of our requirement is draft quality, but that's perfectly acceptable for most sales literature. Refilling the ink cartridges is quick and easy, and Continuink supply replacement ink usually within 24 hours of placing an order. In 9 months, we've made over 30,000 A4 prints, it's still going strong. There’s a lot less waste too, no bags full of used cartridges to dispose of. What more can I say. It works.
